Member Terms

What you agree to when you join a community and buy a ticket.

Last updated July 2026

These terms apply when you use the MyPeople app and take part in a community. Please read them — they explain what we do, what your community does, and what you can expect from each of us.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are between you and Analogue Ventures (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/441656/07), which operates the MyPeople platform.

Your community — the organisation whose community space you have joined — is a separate party. It is responsible for its own community, its own rules, and anything it sells you through the app.

Where your community has published its own terms, those govern your relationship with it. These terms govern your use of the platform.

2. Joining a community

MyPeople is made up of private, closed communities. You can only take part in a community that has admitted you.

Your community decides who may join, and may remove a member in line with its own rules.

Please give accurate information about yourself and keep it up to date.

Your account is yours alone. Do not share access with anyone else.

3. Using the platform

You may use MyPeople to take part in your community — to see and contact other members where permitted, attend events, and access what your community offers.

You must not use the platform unlawfully, harass or abuse other members, misrepresent who you are, or try to access information you are not entitled to.

Information about other members is shared with you for the purposes of your community. Please do not extract it, use it for marketing, or share it outside the community.

We may suspend or remove access where these terms are breached, or where continued access presents a legal or security risk.

4. Buying tickets, products and services

Where you buy an event ticket, product or service through MyPeople, you are buying it from your community. Your community is the seller.

We provide the app through which the purchase is made and arrange for payment to be processed. We are not the seller, we do not supply what you have bought, and we are not party to that sale.

Your community is responsible for what it sells — its description, availability and delivery, and for holding the event or providing the service.

Payments are processed by Peach Payments, a licensed payment provider. We do not store your card details.

5. Refunds and cancellations

Refunds and cancellations are handled by your community. Our Member Refund and Cancellation Policy sets out how this works.

6. Your personal information

We process your personal information in line with our Member Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.

7. Content you post

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to host and display it within your community for as long as you remain a member.

Please do not post anything unlawful, abusive, misleading or infringing.

Your community, and we, may remove content that breaches these terms.

8. Availability and liability

We work to keep the platform available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.

We are not responsible for what your community sells you, for the conduct of other members, or for how your community runs itself.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to the above, our liability to you is limited to any amounts you have paid us directly.

9. Changes, leaving, and general

We may update these terms. Where a change is material, we will bring it to your attention.

You may leave a community or ask us to close your account at any time.

Your community may remove you in line with its own rules.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.

Questions about the platform: bens@analogueventures.co.za. Questions about your community, its events, or a purchase should go to your community directly.
