Member Privacy Policy
What you agree to when you join a community and buy a ticket.

This policy explains what personal information we hold about you as a member of a community on MyPeople, how it is used, and what rights you have. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Your community decides what information it collects from its members and how it is used. We process that information on your community’s behalf in order to provide the platform.
2. What we collect
Information you provide: your name, email address, and anything you add to your profile — role, company, industry, a short bio, a photo, and your contact details where you choose to share them.
Information generated by using the app: the events you RSVP to, what you buy, what you post, and basic activity such as when you last opened the app.
Technical information: device type and app version, used to keep the app working.
3. Who can see it
Your profile is visible to other members of your community, subject to any restrictions your community applies.
It is not visible to members of other communities, and it is not public.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Peach Payments. Your card details go directly to them and are never stored on our systems.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you are a member, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations.
6. Your rights
You can see and correct your information at any time in the app.
You can ask us to delete your information or close your account.
You can ask what information we hold about you.

7. Security
We use appropriate technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and strict separation between communities so no community can access another’s data.
