What’s new

What shipped, and the day it did.

Everything below is live for communities that have it switched on. Nothing is listed here before it has reached real phones, which is why this log starts where it does rather than reaching back over everything the product already does.

  1. Learning

    Build a course yourself

Courses used to be something we loaded for you. Now an admin writes the modules, puts them in order, previews the course the way a member will see it, and publishes it. Once it is published the syllabus is fixed, because a completion record should describe the thing that was actually completed. Points awarded for finishing are never taken back, including when you go back and correct a module afterwards.

  2. Admin and brand

    Arrange your own Home

Put a notice, a banner, a button or a grid of quick links on the Home screen, and move the fourteen cards that were already there into whatever order suits your community. Every block takes a size, an audience and a date window. You preview it as a member before you publish, because Home is the one screen everybody opens every time.

  3. Communicate

Send a notification, with the real number in front of you

An admin can push to every phone in the community. Before anything goes, the server resolves the audience and tells you how many people that actually is, which is not the same as the number in your group list. There is a daily limit, and between 21:00 and 07:00 it offers to send at 07:00 instead. You can see the history and cancel a scheduled send.

  4. People and HR

    Work anniversaries and new starters

For communities with a read-only HR connection, the weekly digest now wishes people a happy work anniversary and introduces anyone who has just started. It rides on the digest that already goes out, so there is nothing new to check.

  5. Rewards and perks

    Rewards, tiers and approvals

Points for the things a community wants more of, a tier ladder with milestones, and points that carry from one period into the next so nobody restarts at zero. Rewards are requested, approved and then issued by a person: nothing goes out automatically.
